Carla Clarkson

Carla Clarkson is the CEO of Marki Starr, LLC and the head hair artist of Marki Starr Hair Studios. With over 10 years of experience in the beauty industry, Carla’s work has been featured in trade publications like Black Passion and Solid Gold.  Through New York hair agencies, the former model styled a bridal trunk show at New York’s Waldorf Astoria and a fashion spread to be featured in In Style magazine.  

With Matrix Global Academy, Berean Institute and NYC's Paul Mitchell Learning Academy as training grounds, Carla has honed her gift from the shampoo bowls of prominent Philadelphia salons to the pages of the industry’s most relevant magazines.

Constantly evolving, Carla’s multi-talents have permeated into music, poetry and fashion.  As a spoken word artist, her self titled debut CD garnered buzz throughout the local music scene.  Other business ventures under her Marki Starr LLC umbrella include markistarr.com, an apparel line and music.

A star in her own right, Carla continues to motivate others through inspirational speaking and fulfilling her mission to serve her clients ultimately, letting their stars shine.

Neffertari Nobles

Neffertari Nobles is a native of Philadelphia  Pa. Her background in the creative and performing arts has been key  in the development of her design style. Her dramatic usage of color blending and fading paired with the sensual movement of her hair shaping techniques individualizes her as a stylist.

Neffertari's regional and national hair competition victories were pivotal points in her career. It was then that her impeccable  attention to detail and unique sense of design arrangement was discovered. Upon infiltrating the industry, Neffertari went on to train in Vienna, Austria with Goldwell's elite educators and hair coloring and hair cutting designs.

Neffertari has worked as a hair stylist and makeup artist both backstage and on set and various productions including, fashion shows, commercials, movies and documentaries. Neffertari co-founded the Blaque Market, a production company that takes young artists, choreographers, designers, and stylists, then creates a platform for them to showcase their gifts and talents.
